The Seattle Colleges work closely with our labor partners to facilitate communication and work in a collaborative manner to ensure outcomes that support collective accountability in our effort to serve our students.
Union Representation & Collective Bargaining Agreements
There are currently three unions representing employees at Seattle College District:
- Faculty members (teachers, counselors, and librarians) are represented by the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), local 1789
- Faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement (AFT Seattle) (PDF Version)
- Classified staff members are represented by the Washington Federation of State Employees Higher Education (WFSE HE)
- Certain exempt employees are represented by the AFT Seattle Professional Staff (SPS), local 6550.
