Auto-Generated Emails
The following are auto-generated emails that are sent to students by program written and maintained by the web team.
- Wait List Notification: email to student who are on a wait list for a class. Any change to their position on a wait list ( enrolled in class, removed from waitlist, change of position ) triggers an email to be sent. If a student has a hold ( unusual action ) on their record, an alert message is added to the email, as well as a copy of email being sent to respective registrar. The email runs every three (3) hours from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and a single run at 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
- Registrar Emails: emails notifying students of important registration dates in the academic year along with FERPA statement and Alcohol / Marijuana policy. Holiday notices are also sent. Students are not able to opt-out of these emails
- SNQ Reminder Emails: emails notifying those that have signed up for either a workshop or appointment via the Start Next Quarter site. Emails are sent three (3) days prior to the date of the workshop or appointment date.
Payment Collection using Third-party Collection Services
The web team maintains the pass-through used on various site to connect and return back from third-party payment services used to collect miscellaneous fees.
- International Student Application Fee Payment: collects application fee required of international students when applying to attend Seattle Colleges
- Online Application Fee: processes collection of the application fee (if required by program) as part of the Online Application process
- Start Next Quarter (SNQ) Maintenance Fee: community and technical colleges across the state of Washington participating and utilizing the SNQ site are required to sign an annual Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) along with a maintenance fee.
