Seattle Colleges Students Earn Awards at International Art and Literary Contests

Three Seattle Colleges students have earned awards in this year’s international student art and literary competitions sponsored by the League for Innovation in the Community College. These contests are held annually by the League and hosted and conducted by member institutions.
2021-2022 League for Innovation International Student Art Competition
- Juror's Choice Award: “I Rise” by Aistė Rye Manfredini, Seattle Central College
Under the leadership of Dallas College, the competition included 74 works of art from students at 16 League board colleges.
2021-2022 League for Innovation International Student Literary Competition
- Fictional Short Story - First Place: “Motherhood" by Sarah Wheeler, Seattle Central College
- Poetry - First Place: “Golden Flesh” by Clarissa Perez, Seattle Central College
Under the leadership of Moraine Valley Community College, the competition included 50 literary works from students at 14 League board colleges.
