LEAD FAQs

If you have questions about the LEAD program that aren't answered on this page, let us know at eLearning@seattlecolleges.edu.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS PROGRAM?

This program is for full- and part-time faculty at any of the Seattle Colleges.

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE STIPENDS?

At this time, we are offering two paths to LEAD completion. The Introductory Path (Introduction to Canvas for Faculty) awards a $250 stipend (about six hours), and the Advanced Path (Guided Course Review) awards a $400 stipend (about ten hours). Faculty may complete one stipended path per academic year.

WHAT ARE THE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS?

To complete the program and earn your stipend, please complete the LEAD course path for which you registered.

CAN I TAKE MORE CREDITS AND EARN ADDITIONAL STIPENDS?

Faculty may earn one LEAD stipend per year, but can participate in another LEAD path in subsequent years for an additional stipend.

WHAT IF I AM A PART-TIME FACULTY WHO IS NOT PROVIDED A COURSE TO TEACH AFTER I'VE STARTED THIS PROGRAM?

Situations where part-time faculty stop teaching in the middle of the program will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis in collaboration with their dean--let us know!

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR COURSES?

You can register on our webpage by logging in with your MySeattleColleges account (email & Office 365) credentials. We also have a quick video guide to LEAD you can watch for help registering, tracking your ongoing and completed workshops, and more.

WHEN WILL I BE AWARDED MY STIPEND?

Once you have completed your selected LEAD Path, eLearning will submit your stipend request and notify you. Stipends are typically paid out within 1-2 pay periods of when you are notified.
