Course Design
Overview
You can use the sub-navigation on the left under the Course Design section to explore how-to guides on the following topics:
- Meeting learning objectives (outcomes)
- Ensuring that learning is happening (assessment)
- Communicating expectations and feedback to students (rubrics)
You will also find a repository of course templates optimized for Canvas. All resources serve as starting points; for support with implementation and questions, you can email or make an appointment with an Instructional Designer.
To improve your course design, feel free to reference this course design checklist that includes essential components as well as best practices.
For paid training opportunities, you can check out LEAD offerings. These are stipended courses for faculty that include technical (Canvas) and pedagogical topics.
