Partnering With Employers to Develop Seattle’s Workforce
Hire Employees
Each year, thousands of Seattle Colleges’ graduates enter the labor market. We take pride in the quality of our training and faculty, knowing that our students leave prepared with both the hard and soft skills needed to excel in the workforce.
With programs in everything from Nursing to Aviation Maintenance, from Wine Technology to Early Childhood Education, we can connect you with a direct pipeline of highly qualified graduates to meet your workforce needs.
Hire Interns
Internship programs ensure your company has a robust talent pipeline from which to draw. Our training programs prioritize real-world workforce experience, differentiating Seattle Colleges students by instilling applied teamwork, creative and problem solving skills.
Hire Work Study Students
Hiring a Work Study student is a great way to help your company with an extra pair of hands without hurting your budget. Companies are reimbursed anywhere from 40-70 percent of wages paid.
How do I get started?
We are now working with Handshake, one of the leading student-centered jobs boards in the country. Over 400,000 employers, including many in our region, use Handshake to recruit current college students and recent graduates for just about any career imaginable.
Handshake is our one-stop shop for employers to post jobs and internships and find qualified candidates from all three Seattle Colleges – North Seattle College, Seattle Central College, and South Seattle College. We are working with students during the 2021-22 academic year to encourage them to activate their Handshake accounts and begin their career exploration. All Seattle Colleges students have a Handshake account, giving you access to thousands of resumes and potential new hires.

In addition to Handshake, our training programs often have other methods for connecting employers with our graduates. Feel free to contact our Employer Partnerships Manager who can help connect you with the right pipeline of students.

"I want to express my gratitude for your help in securing interns for my tax and accounting business over the past several years.
Each intern has had a drive to absorb and learn as much as they can outside the standard curriculum."
