About the Chancellor
Rosie Rimando-Chareunsap, Ed.D., was appointed the 11th chancellor of Seattle Colleges in August 2023 by the Seattle Colleges Board of Trustees. She served as acting and interim chancellor before the appointment.
Dr. Rimando-Chareunsap has more than 20 years of experience leading in higher education, most of those in a variety of roles at Seattle Colleges. She served as president of South Seattle College from 2018-2022 while also serving the entire district as vice chancellor of equity, diversity, and inclusion during that time. Trustees noted that she has successfully addressed budget shortfalls and is skilled at making important and thoughtful decisions through collaboration.
Rimando-Chareunsap holds a B.A. in English and Ethnic Studies from Washington State University (WSU), a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington, and a Doctorate of Education from WSU.
