Q: Is Seattle Colleges launching a new email system for students?

A: No. For years, students have received a college-issued @seattlecolleges.edu email account once they register for classes. This initiative is a concerted effort to encourage all students to more fully use their @seattlecolleges.edu email account for college business and check their email regularly for important information from our colleges. For detailed reasons why, refer to the Purpose and Goals section of the Background and Goals page.

 

Q: When will this initiative launch?

A: The timeline for launch/implementation is not finalized yet, but it may possibly be sometime during the 2024-25 academic year. The implementation date will depend on when we are able to finalize solutions to the pressing issues and then after we develop an information campaign. This includes offering updated, easier-to-use resources and reference information so students can better navigate and use their @seattlecolleges.edu email account.
