Seattle College District requires that any campus, division, unit or individual desiring to conduct research, evaluation, or data analysis projects requiring student interaction, such as surveys or interviews, must secure prior approval from the college human subjects review committee or the districtwide human subjects review committee.

Students have the freedom to choose whether or not to participate in a research project and must receive notice of their right to participate. Except as allowed by law, the District will protect the privacy of the subjects and maintain confidentiality of any of their personally identifiable information.
