TITLE: STUDENT RIGHTS, FREEDOMS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Seattle Colleges exists for the transmission of knowledge, the development of students, and the general well-being of society. Page | 9 – Policies and Procedures for Student Services (300s) Free inquiry, free expression, protection against improper academic evaluation, and protection against improper disclosure are indispensable to the attainment of these goals.
Faculty at Seattle Colleges encourage free discussion, inquiry, and expression, both in and out of the classroom setting.
The district policies regarding student rights, freedoms and responsibilities are generally set forth in Chapter 132F-121 and 132F-142 of the Washington Administrative Code (WAC). Copies of chapter 132F-121 and 132F-142 WAC may be obtained from the college vice president for student services office or accessed on the Web at seattlecolleges.edu/studentrules.
