Information About Ghana
President Obama in Cape Coast, Ghana
Ghana is in West Africa on the Gulf of Guinea, a few degrees north of the equator. It is bordered by the Ivory Coast to the west,
Burkina Faso to the north, and Togo to the east.
Our program site Keta, a coastal town in the Volta Region of Ghana which has experienced tremendous impact from erosion
– the sea reclaiming land.
We will be working with poor, rural communities, conducting health clinic outreach campaigns, teaching health education
regarding nutrition and sanitation — and will be involved in a variety of infrastructure initiatives related
to public health.
Participants will be actively engaged in the full range of our global health projects:
Rural Health Outreach Campaigns
Health Education and Research
Health-related Infrastructure Development

Program fee includes:
On-site coordinator; full room and board; domestic transportation upon arrival in Accra; community project planning, set up,
execution and follow up; project donation and material project purchase for the community; cultural activities, basic health that
satisfies Global Impact requirement and basic travel insurance; 24 hour emergency access to support staff and offices.
