A student may be awarded college credit as a result of successful completion of prescribed courses or units of instruction; approved transfer of credit from another regionally accredited college or university, recognized international college or university, or post-secondary institution; adequate performance on a challenge exam or standardized advanced placement exam; relevant prior experiential learning (work experience); or other recognized educational experience such as military training or training approved by the state, industry, or a professional association. There may be limits on approved transferable credits based on residency, degree and accreditation requirements.
